Location: Thomas Jefferson University, Hamilton Building, 1001 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107

Radiologists and neuroscientists need to know what to do with MRI data after they have collected it on a (Siemens) scanner. That is where the AFNI Bootcamp comes in. The AFNI Bootcamp is an intensive course that teaches clinicians and scientists how to take raw data from a (Siemens) MRI scanner and process it from start to finish. Topics include, preprocessing, alignment of functional data to a standard template brain, quality control, data visualization, and (single subject and group) data analyses. The 3-day intensive course is useful to anyone working with fMRI data or planning to do so.

Participants will need to bring a laptop with AFNI installed. AFNI is available free (in C source code format, and some precompiled binaries) for research purposes. If you have difficulties installing AFNI, or have not gotten onto the IBIC AFNI Bootcamp mailing list, email Andrew Persichetti (maplab@jefferson.edu).

Target Audience: Radiologists, Neuroscientists and anyone working with fMRI data or planning to do so.

Speakers: Dr. Paul Taylor and Dr. Gang Chen from the AFNI team of the Scientific and Statistical Computing Core in the National Institute of Mental Health.

Questions? Contact Andrew Persichetti (maplab@jefferson.edu)

Coffee and snacks will be provided during the breaks. We encourage bootcamp participants to have lunch at one of the many restaurants on and around the Thomas Jefferson University campus.
