About This Event

Elevating the voices of educators in our community

The CMS Foundation is proud to present our eighth Teacher Talks event, Fracture. This year, we gather to learn from the experiences our teachers carry—the breaks and shatterings, the moments that split life into a before and an after, and the visible and invisible divides we learn to navigate. These experiences highlight the cracks that shape us, but also the beauty that emerges when broken pieces are gathered, held, and reimagined as something new.

Join us for an evening of illumination and uplift as we celebrate the voices of educators whose courage, insight, and resilience remind us that even what fractures can be transformed into something whole.

This year's talks will be presented by:

Justin Ashley | Community House Middle School

LTC (Ret.) James Clark | Harding University High School

Nuria Tamayo | Charlotte East Language Academy

JoCelyn Roundtree | Olympic High School

Drinks and heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served at a reception starting at 5:00 PM with talks beginning at 6:00 PM.

Tickets are free for all CMS staff
