Simple Hemming

Take your sewing skills to the next level with simple hemming, designed for those ready to tackle beginning finishing techniques. In this class, we’ll focus on hemming, teaching you how to create clean edges for beginners. You’ll practice hemming methods and apply them to sample projects.

By the end of this class, you’ll gain confidence in beginner hemming techniques, enabling you to refine your alteration projects.

All materials will be provided.

Class is open to ages 16 and up; however, minors must be accompanied by an adult who has also purchased a ticket for the class.

About the Instructor

Maria Tucker

A self-taught sewer, Maria specializes in making Renaissance faire outfits, general sewing projects, crafts, and alterations.

Refund Policy:

• Transfers to another class follow the same refund rules as your original date.
• 14+ days before the first class: Full refund.
• 7–13 days before the first class: Refund minus a 50% administrative fee.
• Fewer than 7 days before the first class: No refunds.
• Seat transfer: If you find a replacement who pays for and takes your seat before the first class begins, you are eligible for a full refund.

Class may be canceled due to low enrollment in which case a full refund will be issued.

Cancellation Policy:

MakerSpace reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient enrollment. If a class is canceled by MakerSpace, fees are 100% refundable.
