As part of the 2026 Melbourne Samba Encontro weekend, this event unites carnaval groups from across Australia and New Zealand in a vibrant celebration of Samba. More than 200 drummers and dancers take the stage, delivering an electrifying showcase of rhythm, movement and colour.

Feel the raw energy of Rio Carnival right here in Melbourne as Samba Schools, Blocos, Baterias and Passistas come together to share the sounds and spirit of Brazil.
