We’re crocheting . . .

A daisy keyring, or it could be a brooch?

A mini version of a retro daisy block to give you a wee taste of this style of crochet and colour work.

This crochet-along is suitable for . . .

Anyone with a little knowledge of the basics, adventurous beginners (very much still learning, but confident to try something a little trickier)

Anyone interested in crocheting flowers, floral blocks or small scale crochet

Refreshing forgotten skills

Crochet skills and techniques we’ll try . . .

A couple of the most basic crochet stitches, and an opportunity to have a go at some standing stitches (US terms)

Crochet in the round, increasing, colour changing

Sew-as-you-go techniques

What you’ll need to bring . . .

a 2.0, 2.5 or 3.0mm crochet hook*

Suitable yarn for your hook choice in 3 colours - centre, petals, background*

an 18-20 ligne (11.5-13mm) button (optional)

*I used a 2.0mm hook and a mix of 4 ply and double-knit. You won't need much of any colour so check your stash before buying anything specially.

What’s included/ provided . . .

I'll have keyring hardware, buttons, neeedles, scissors, etc., but please bring your own if you prefer

I'm Sharon, a graduate of Glasgow School of Art with a lifelong passion for textiles, craft and design.

I’m a fidget! I love to tinker and flit between multiple crafts including stitch, embroidery, crochet, felting, needle-felting, papermaking, textile & paper collage, wire art.

Refund Requests

I have a no refunds policy, but I will look at requests on a case by case basis.

Changing your mind or realising you cannot attend after booking are not valid reasons for refund.

Refund of payment (less Eventbrite fee) for a class will be given for cancellations only if the spot can be filled, minus a 10% admin fee.
