Tribute to Hans Zimmer by La Chapelle Sauvage

Zimmer est le compositeur à l’origine des bandes originales des films de James Bond, *Interstellar*, *Inception*, *Dune*, *Gladiator*, *Pirates des Caraïbes* et bien d’autres blockbusters. 

Hans Zimmer est l’un des compositeurs de films les plus célèbres, influents et à succès du XXIe siècle. Il a profondément marqué l'histoire récente du cinéma hollywoodien et de la culture pop dans son ensemble. Né dans une famille juive en Allemagne, il a déménagé à Londres enfant. Après la perte précoce de son père, Hans a trouvé du réconfort dans la musique.

À Hollywood, Hans Zimmer est souvent surnommé « la machine allemande ». Tout au long de sa longue carrière, il n'a jamais ralenti le rythme ni sacrifié la qualité de son travail. La Chapelle Sauvage est née sous l'impulsion du jeune chef d'orchestre belge Karel De Wilde. Il s’agit d’un ensemble international de jeunes musiciens professionnels venant de partout dans le monde. Ce qui les a réunis et ce qui les caractérise, c’est une ambition musicale sauvage et indomptable doublée d'une attitude contemporaine, critique et réflexive. Outre un vaste répertoire classique, ils osent également se lancer dans divers projets de styles très variés. Hormis leur noyau fixe, leur effectif se modifie constamment selon le répertoire, afin de parvenir à une répartition équilibrée, étant toujours à la recherche d'une exécution créative et d'une authenticité justifiée, en utilisant pour ce faire la connaissance et les techniques les plus modernes dont nous disposons à ce jour.

✨ Op 4 april om 15.00 uur zal een bijzonder concert plaatsvinden in het sfeervolle Muziekinstrumentenmuseum (MIM) in Brussel. Tijdens dit concert zal filmmuziek van de wereldberoemde componist Hans Zimmer live gepresenteerd worden in een levendige en kleurrijke uitvoering door het hedendaagse La Chapelle Sauvage. Hans Zimmer is een van de beroemdste, invloedrijkste en commercieel succesvolste filmcomponisten van de 21e eeuw. Hij heeft een diepgaande impact gehad op de recente geschiedenis van de Hollywood-cinema en de popcultuur in het algemeen. Geboren in een Joods gezin in Duitsland, verhuisde hij als kind naar Londen. Na het vroege verlies van zijn vader vond Hans troost in muziek.

🎻La Chapelle Sauvage 

La Chapelle Sauvage is een artistiek huis met vele kamers. Het ontstond onder impuls van de Belgische dirigent Karel De Wilde als een internationaal initiatief van jonge professionele musici komende uit geheel de wereld. Wat hen samenbracht en typeert is een wilde en ontembare muzikale ambitie met een eigentijdse, kritische en reflectieve attitude. 

Karel De Wilde studeerde op jonge leeftijd piano, orgel, klavecimbel en contrabas, en vervolgens orgel, muziektheorie en orkestdirectie aan de Koninklijke Conservatoria van Gent en Mons. Reeds vroeg werden zijn veelzijdige talenten in binnen-en buitenland opgemerkt en werd hem aangeboden om deze uitermate te laten ontwikkelen. Zo werden verschillende van zijn composities succesvol internationaal gecreëerd en concerteerde hij in aanwezigheid van tal van Europese prominente persoonlijkheden. Het was Karel's arrangement van het

Belgische Volkslied dat geselecteerd en uitgevoerd werd te Brussel door het Nationaal Orkest van Kroatië in aanwezigheid van de Europese regeringsleiders op de dag van hun toetreding tot de EU. Karel wordt aanschouwd als één van Belgiës meest beloftevolle nieuwe dirigenten en is een graag geziene artistieke partner van talrijke artiesten en culturele organisaties. Hiervan getuigen de succesvolle samenwerkingen met La Chapelle Sauvage, Red Events, An Pierlé, Podium Nieuw Talent, Davidsfonds, Beauraing Festival of Sacred Music, Festival van Vlaanderen, German Quality Entertainment en vele anderen.

Niettegenstaande hun vaste kern modificeert hun bezetting zich gedurig naargelang het repertoire, dat een grote verscheidenheid aan kamermuziek bevat evenals werken voor symfonisch orkest en regelmatig samenwerkt met koren en internationale solisten. Hierbij steeds opzoek naar een creatieve en authentiek verantwoorde uitvoering, gebruik makende van de kennis en modernste technieken waarover we heden ten dage beschikken.

La Chapelle Sauvage is an artistic house with many rooms. It saw light by the impulse of the Belgian conductor Karel De Wilde as a teamwise and international initiative of young professional musicians coming from all over the world. What gathered them is a wild and untameable musical ambition with a contemporary, critical and reflective attitude.

Karel De Wilde is a versatile artist. He studied piano, organ, harpsichord and double bass at a young age, and then organ, music theory and orchestral conducting at the Royal Conservatories of Ghent and Mons. His compositions were successfully created internationally and he performed in the presence of many prominent European personalities. It was Karel's arrangement of the Belgian National Anthem that was selected and performed in Brussels by the National Orchestra of Croatia in the presence of the European heads of government on the day of their accession to the EU. Karel is regarded as one of Belgium's most promising new conductors and is a welcome artistic partner of numerous artists and cultural organisations. This is evidenced by the successful collaborations with La Chapelle Sauvage, Red Events, An Pierlé, Podium Nieuw Talent, Davidsfonds, Beauraing Festival of Sacred Music, Festival van Vlaanderen, German Quality Entertainment, Rusanda Panfili and many others.

In addition to a large classical repertoire, La Chapelle Sauvage gladly ventures into various projects in multiple styles. Notwithstanding the solid core, their instrumentation continually modifies according to the repertoire which contains a wide variety of chamber music as well as works for symphony orchestra and regularly collaborates with choirs and international soloists.
