About This Event

Are you a parent in a multicultural family, or raising a teen across different cultures, languages, or value systems?

A multicultural family may include parents and children from different national, cultural, or linguistic backgrounds, or families navigating life between home and host cultures. This interactive workshop is designed to help parents better understand and connect with their teenagers within this complex, blended environment.

Through a brief presentation and guided group discussions, we will explore common parent–teen communication challenges, how cultural expectations and language differences shape family dynamics, and ways to express needs while setting healthy boundaries. Parents will also gain practical, real-life conflict resolution strategies tailored to intercultural families.

This workshop is ideal for parents of teenagers ages 13–18, especially those seeking practical tools, shared experiences, and a supportive space for open conversation.
