About This Event

This Jacob's Ladder Box is perfect for storing pencils, pens, and has a second compartment, perfect to keep the snoops guessing!

What is a Jacob's Ladder Box?

It is actually a double box! Two identical boxes with hinged lids. The two boxes are also joined together in the manner of a Jacob's Ladder toy. This special hinging method allows for the boxes to "roll" around each other so that the contents of either one, or both, boxes can be accessed and displayed at any one time.

Expert bookbinder and box maker, Don Taylor, will guide you through process step by step. From forming the boxes, to covering them in luxurious lacquered yuzen and moriki kozo papers. You will go home with a beautiful Jacob's Ladder Box and the knowledge to make more!

All materials included.

Participants are asked to please bring:

  • a notebook & pen
  • an apron, or dress in studio attire
  • your lunch!
The cost of this ticket includes: $149.00 workshop fee, Eventbrite fees and HST for a total cost of $180.82
