Main Point Books welcomes author and director John Sayles with his new novel "Crucible."

Main Point Books welcomes author and Oscar-nominated director John Sayles with his new novel "Crucible," a complex and sweeping historical novel about Henry Ford — the Elon Musk of his day — and his attempt to rule not only an automotive empire but the rambunctious city of Detroit. It is an epic tale ranging from the 1920s through the second World War, featuring violent labor disputes, misbegotten jungle expeditions, a tragic race riot, and the gestapo tactics of Ford’s private army.

This event will be in our lower level event space. RSVPs are requested via Eventbrite; walk-ins are welcome as space permits

About the Author

John Sayles is an independent filmmaker, screenwriter, actor, and novelist.He has twice been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, and once for the National Book Award. He has written eight novels, including, most recently, Jamie MacGillivray and To Save the Man.
