Built around 1830, Vale House was originally a grand private residence for Charles Holland, a prominent Liverpool businessman and Wirral justice of the peace. Holland filled the grounds with exotic plants and trees, cultivated by renowned botanist and head gardener William Grinsell Burston, who shaped the beautiful landscape that became Vale Park. After serving as a family home, the building evolved into a community hub—but its past refuses to stay buried.

Reports of the supernatural date back generations, including chilling 1960s sightings of Victorian-dressed figures walking straight through closed doors into the house. Police were even called to investigate apparitions in the adjacent park! Today, visitors and investigators report disembodied voices, cold spots, shadowy figures, and unexplained knocks.
