About This Event
Come find out how we are all connected - Raw storytelling meant to leave you feeling... anything but apathy.
What to Expect...
Five courageous storytellers will take the stage, ready to share the parts of their lives that society whispers we should keep to ourselves. Their stories are more than narratives; they are confessions, lessons, and raw emotions laid bare. This is not open mic, the stories were submitted to us by the people in your community, and read by those that lived through these experiences. These stories are designed to be vibrant and intense, pushing you past what makes you comfortable and remind you that you are not alone, that we all have a story to tell.
Be warned boundaries will be pushed and tears will be shed.
*18+ Graphic and adult language, use of material not suitable for children, topics can be triggering
“If you are feeling a little isolated in the addictive screen-glow of a post-congregation world, lord do I recommend this confessional for you. “ -Fish Griwkowsky from the Edmonton Journal
Would you like to know more...
EXPOSED emerged in the wake of COVID-19, a time when isolation fractured our communities. Its mission: to challenge the notion that certain experiences should remain hidden.
These are the stories of your community, of the people in your coffee shops, your neighborhoods, your friends, families, and your partners. these are the stories that are long forgotten, forever whispered, and shielded from you until tonight. Our storytellers share with you what is really happening in the lives of those around us, what we carry with us, what has shaped the way we interact with the world and our community. This is community healing.
Through art and storytelling EXPOSED brings levity to stories often confined to therapists' offices. There’s no beating around the bush here—just a raw, unfiltered approach to growth, mirroring life’s refusal to offer shortcuts. These are the stories of your community. There’s no escape—only the invitation to confront what scares you and embrace it with open arms.
