Crafts Workshop: Chenille Wire Crafts (12 to 18 year olds)

This workshop introduces youths to the basics of chenille wire crafting through hands-on activities and creative exercises. Participants learn techniques such as twisting, shaping, and combining colors to create fun and decorative art pieces. The session aims to develop fine motor skills, encourage creativity, and build confidence in making personalised crafts, while providing a relaxing and engaging environment for learning.

This workshop allows participants to:

· Learn practical techniques for manipulating chenille stems, including bending, looping, and securing shapes.

· Develop patience, focus, and attention to detail through hands-on crafting

Gain confidence in translating ideas into tangible art pieces while exploring personal creativity.

Swee Ying began her journey with Brahm Centre as an intern. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into a small business selling handcrafted items. But for her, it wasn’t just about the items—it was about the joy of making. Inspired to share this experience with others, she now hopes to bring people together through hands-on craft sessions, turning simple materials into meaningful moments of connection, creativity, and community.
