About This Event

Join us for this special event where we create spontaneous music using our voices, joined by Matt Goldstein, Gaia Music Collective founder!

Do you love to sing?

Come unleash the power of your voice in a joyful evening of improvisational singing, circle songs, and light.

This special gathering will be co-facilitated by Davin Youngs and Matt Goldstein (NYC’s Gaia Music Collective). Together, they’ll guide you through playful vocal games, layered grooves, and spontaneous songs that are easy to join and surprisingly powerful to experience.

Davin Youngs is a singer, sound healing artist, and keynote speaker, and the creator of Chicago Circle Singing, a welcoming, community-centered gathering where singers of all levels come together for freedom, connection, and playful musical expression.

Matt Goldstein is an NYC-based choir director, educator, facilitator, vocal arranger, singer-songwriter, and improviser known for his heart-forward facilitation, emotive arrangements, and visionary leadership. He is the founder and Artistic Director of Gaia Music Collective, an internationally recognized collaborative music community creating inclusive, accessible spaces for everyday folks to pursue musical expression and connection. Through Gaia, Matt has collaborated with artists like Leslie Odom Jr., Eric Whitacre, JoJo, and Imogen Heap, and partnered with institutions such as MoMA, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Google.

🎶 No Experience Necessary

Whether you’re a seasoned vocalist or someone who just loves to sing in the shower, your voice belongs here. This is an inclusive, supportive space to explore the joy of sound, expression, and community.

😰 Feeling Nervous?

We totally get it.

This gathering is designed to be a mistake-free, judgment-free, easygoing environment. We let go of the rules, restrictions, and fears often found in traditional singing settings and just SING. When we do, something truly magical happens.

🎤 About Chicago Circle Singing

Chicago Circle Singing builds community through the simple yet profound act of collective singing. In a disconnected world, we create a space where voices intertwine, fostering belonging and connection through spontaneous, co-created music. Regardless of background or ability, everyone has a place in the circle—because singing together isn’t just about making music, it’s about making community.

We are a not-for-profit endeavor, fiscally sponsored by Fractured Atlas. If you’d like to discuss hosting or sponsoring future events, please contact chicagocirclesinging@gmail.com
