Bike SA – Bike Maintenance Course for Youth (Ages 12-17)

Give your young rider the confidence to fix and look after their own bike!

Bike SA's Youth Bike Maintenance Course is a fun, hands-on workshop where participants learn essential skills to keep their bike running smoothly, whether they’re brand new to bike maintenance or already tinkering in the shed at home.

Whether you know only how to fix a puncture or you are already screwing on your bike in your freetime, this workshop will help you better understand your bike and keep it running smoothly.

What They’ll Learn:

• Tubes: How to repair a puncture
• Brakes: How to adjust their brakes
• Chain: How to fit or replace a chain
• Gears: Basic rear derailleur adjustment
• Essentials: What tools and spares to carry on a ride

This session is open to all young people, no matter their riding or mechanical experience. It’s a relaxed and supportive environment where they can ask questions, get hands-on practice, and build confidence.

A parent or guardian must complete the consent form for the young person attending the course.

Parking and Drop-Off Information:

Bike SA is located at 11a Croydon Road, Keswick South Australia 5035, Australia.

Parking is available along Croydon Road, please be mindful of parking signage and restrictions. To help us start on time, please drop the participant off 15 minutes before the course begins and collect them promptly at the course finish time.
