About This Event

April Lecture about ‘The evolution of timekeeping’ (and clocks in the collection of the NTS) will be told by Lucas Marijnissen.

In this talk you will be introduced to several ways of timekeeping used throughout the centuries, all the way from the ancient water-clocks and sand-clocks to the atomic clock. Pivotal point of the talk is part of the collection of the National Trust for Scotland. Several clocks in this collection will be highlighted during this presentation.
