Lisa Thompson

Hi!! I'm Lisa and the founder of The Handcrafted Hen - a one-woman business aimed at supporting crafts and sharing skills in bookbinding and marbling. As an art lecturer for over 14 years I have seen how 'the handmade' is being pushed away in favour of machine made and digital, but being able to make or produce something that is handmade can teach us how to challenge ourselves, be patient with ourselves, the importance of accuracy and the reward of creativity. I live locally to Resorts World Birmingham and I'm very pleased to have the opportunity to share my skills with anyone who wishes to learn.
