Dr Javier Malda Castillo Clinical Psychologist

Dr Javier Malda Castillo is a Clinical Psychologist, chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC; Registration Number: PYL35936). He has completed the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)-certified full individual psychodynamic training at the Tavistock Clinic and two years of group analytic training with the Institute of Group Analysis (IGA).Dr Malda Castillo is also an accredited Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) practitioner and supervisor by the Anna Freud Centre, as well as an international trainer and supervisor in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), certified by the International Experiential Dynamic Therapy Association (IEDTA). He is the founder and director of ISTDP-North, the first company in the North West of the UK to deliver effective and evidence-based ISTDP interventions for individuals, groups and couples.
