About This Event

Wound debridement is the removal of dead and devitalised tissue, particulate matter and foreign bodies from a wound bed.

Wound debridement is the removal of dead and devitalised tissue, particulate matter and foreign bodies from a wound bed and is generally accepted as a necessary precursor to the formation of new tissue.

The importance of debridement in wound management is well known, and its role in the preparation of the wound bed to promote healing is recognised.
