About This Event

A special SDC event in honor of International Women's Day.

Join us on March 5th, 2026 for International Women’s Day as we gather the design community for Women in Design: Beautifully Complex, a celebration of the layered strength, creativity, and leadership women bring to the industry. Building on last year’s conversation about demanding and commanding our value, this year we explore what makes women uniquely powerful in design and business and how those qualities elevate our place within the field.

The day will feature an inspiring presentation on color and emotion led by Mariah of Sherwin-Williams, followed by a dynamic panel of high-impact women including Anna of Interiors by Popov, who leads an international team of women, alongside additional industry leaders and business voices who have built success by embracing the distinct strengths women bring to leadership.

Attendees will take part in a collaborative art installation created from showroom-sponsored materials, revealed during a live performance by local artist Tomeka Williams as her song Beautifully Complicated plays alongside a montage of the women in attendance. A sponsored photo experience will capture each guest as part of the celebration.
