The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year, a time when the sun shines its brightest and nature is alive with abundance. It’s an invitation to honour your inner light, embrace your wild woman essence, and celebrate the beauty of community. This gathering offers a grounded space to pause, connect with nature, and reflect on what you want to sustain as the season unfolds.

What Awaits You

Forest Bathing Walk
Begin with a guided forest bathing walk to help you arrive and transition out of everyday pace. You’ll be invited to move slowly, engage your senses, and notice the natural environment around you. This practice supports grounding, presence, and a gentle settling into the space.

Seasonal Grounding Practice
The gathering includes a guided grounding practices designed to support rest, regulation, and connection with the natural world. This experience invites you to slow down, settle your body, and relate to your surroundings in a calm, supported way.

Solstice Reflection & Guided Journaling
Through guided reflection and journaling prompts, we’ll mark the Summer Solstice as a moment of fullness and balance, creating space to take stock of what has grown and what feels important now.

Women’s Circle
Gather in a facilitated circle for shared reflection, listening, and connection. This space is supportive and contained, allowing you to speak, listen, or simply be present while being witnessed by other women.

Solstice Tea Ritual: A Sensory Practice
Close the gathering with a guided tea ritual focused on sensory awareness. Through attention to taste, warmth, and scent, this practice supports integration and presence, offering a calm and grounded way to complete the experience.

Essential Details:

• 📍Location & Meeting Point: We’ll meet at the car park of Duddingston Kirk on Duddingston Road West (opposite Holy Rood High School). The car park entrance is just before the turnoff to Old Church Lane. From there, we’ll take a short walk to the nature reserve.
• What to Wear:
  Dress for the weather with comfortable layers, waterproof clothing, and sturdy walking boots for navigating forest trails.
• What to bring: A thermos of tea, a cup, a journal, a pen, and any snacks you enjoy. You’re also welcome to bring songs, poems, or personal expressions to share.
