What’s the challenge?
An endurance trek along the West Highland Way — 96 miles from Milngavie, Glasgow to Fort William — completed over 4 incredible days.
Is it a race?
No, this isn’t a race. The West Highland Way Challenge is about pushing yourself, not competing. It will test and inspire you — and yes, it may also throw up a few blisters along the way! However times will be recorded for our overall leaderboard
Do I have to carry my equipment?
Carrying your full kit is optional. You can take on the full endurance experience and carry everything yourself, or use our baggage transfer service — we’ll transport your tent, sleeping bag, and additional clothing to the next campsite each day.
Is the route signposted?
Yes. The West Highland Way is one of the UK’s 16 official National Trails. It’s waymarked and signposted throughout, and you’ll also pass through regular checkpoints staffed by our team at key locations along the route. (See the Agenda section for route details and daily finish points.)
Where will I stay?
Each night you’ll stay at a designated campsite along the route, complete with warm showers, toilets, washing facilities, food, and refreshments — everything you need to rest and recharge for the next day.
How will I be supported?
Our friendly support team will be staffing checkpoints along the entire route, offering first aid, snacks, and drinks to keep you fuelled and safe. At the end of each day, your designated campsite provides a comfortable space to recover and prepare for the next stage of the journey.
Will there be checkpoints?
Yes — you’ll find staffed checkpoints every 5–7 miles (around 10 km), each offering refreshments, light snacks, and medical care if needed.

Fully supported by the Endurotrek crew throughout.
