Walks for Women: Knutsford & Tatton

Welcome to Freshwalks. This Walks for Women event is part of our own vibrant business community programme and women in business are welcome to join us for some invigorating networking in the great outdoors. This monthly series offers a perfect entry level option and is ideal for those with busy diaries. Feel free to come alone - most Freshwalkers do - and you'll be warmly welcomed or invite a colleague or client along for company.

Route description

Tatton Park is a historic estate in Cheshire, England, north of the town of Knutsford. It contains a mansion, Tatton Hall, a medieval manor house, Tatton Old Hall, Tatton Park Gardens, a farm and a deer park of 2,000 acres .

Starting at the Knutsford entrance to Tatton Park, we’ll enjoy a glorious loop around the park, including Knutsford Moor Nature Reserve and Tatton Mere, enjoying woodlands and views of the lake.

Route: Knutsford - Tatton Mere - Tatton Hall - Knutsford

Parking: Nearest long stay car park is at Tatton St, Knutsford WA16 6AG. Parking should cost £2.20 for 4 hours or £3.10 for 6 hours. More info here.

Public transport: Please take the 09:10 train from Manchester Piccadilly, calling at Stockport 09:19 to arrive in Knutsford 09:51.

Post-walk: You are welcome to join others in the group and head for some refreshments and perhaps even lunch on an informal basis somewhere in Knutsford town centre (TBC)
