Whether you’re sharing a romantic lunch for two or gathering with family and friends, this is an invitation to slow down, savour the moment, and celebrate love in all its forms.

Set within our beautifully restored 1857 sandstone church, the day will be thoughtfully styled with eclectic antique furnishings, romantic candelabras, and fresh flowers on every table. The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and welcoming — a space designed for connection, conversation, and lingering over good food.

A historic slideshow will play softly throughout the lunch, sharing images and stories from The Church and the Campbell Town district, adding a gentle sense of place, nostalgia, and connection to the experience.

Guests will enjoy an abundant Tasmanian Grazing Buffet Table, showcasing homemade dishes, hot selections, fresh seasonal produce, and our signature catering favourites. There are no set courses and no rush — simply graze at your own pace, mingle, and return to the table as often as you wish. And yes, desserts are included.

After booking we'll email you to invite you to nominate your favourite love song — perhaps your song, a first-dance favourite, or simply a tune that makes you smile. Requests will be woven into our Valentine’s Day playlist, creating a soundtrack shaped by the people sharing the room.

Hot & Cold Dishes

A generous selection of comforting, crowd-favourite dishes designed for relaxed grazing and return visits throughout the lunch:

• Healthy, hearty homemade soup, made from seasonal produce and served warm
• Roasted herbed potatoes and sweet potatoes, golden and fragrant
• Swedish meatballs, rich and comforting in a classic creamy sauce
• Marry Me Chicken, tender chicken in a rich sundried tomato and creamy, herb-infused sauce
• Marinated roast lamb, slow-roasted and full of flavour
• Chicken wings with maple chilli glaze, sticky, sweet and gently spiced
• Mediterranean vegetable garden tart, filled with roasted vegetables and herbs
• French carrot salad, lightly dressed and refreshing
• Spinach, pumpkin and seed salad, with roasted pumpkin and toasted seeds

Vegan and vegetarian dishes are clearly labelled throughout the buffet.

Lovingly prepared from scratch using fresh Tasmanian ingredients:

• Olive tapenade, rich and savoury with olives and herbs
• Seasonal homemade dip, changing with the best available produce
• Loaded hummus topped with tomatoes, olives, parsley, chickpeas and capsicum

• Salmon mousse, a house-made speciality, light, creamy and delicately seasoned

• Leg ham off the bone, sliced generously and served cold
