Come learn about PFAS essentials, litigation, and remediation in this hands-on training session from REGENESIS, Eurofins, and E&W Law!

Join us for in-person training on PFAS Essentials, PFAS Litigation, In Situ PFAS Remediation & Vapor Intrusion Mitigation in the greater DC area. You will gain real-time insights into current PFAS regulations, the PFAS legal and litigation landscape, and the state of the science for testing and remedial technologies, along with current strategies for remediating Vapor Intrusion. Lunch will be provided.

Part 1: Mastering PFAS Essentials: Regulations, Test Methods, & Forensics

1. The State of PFAS Regulations and Legislation *includes hot off the press, real time updates!

2. Data Usability Considerations, including a discussion of methods

3. PFAS in complex matrices, e.g. air, biosolids, products, etc.

4. How PFAS data can be used in a forensic application

Part 2: PFAS Legal and Litigation Landscape — How Data Drives Liability and Cost

1. The PFAS litigation landscape, including claims under common law and emerging CERCLA theories

2. The evolving status of federal regulatory drivers of liability (CERCLA designation of PFOA/PFOS and SDWA drinking water MCLs)

3. The threshold issue of defining “PFAS”

4. Liability allocation, the fate of the multi-district litigation and insurance dynamics

5. Biosolids, land application and closed-loop PFAS pathways

Part 3: In Situ PFAS Remediation Using Colloidal Activated Carbon & Vapor Intrusion Mitigation

1. PFAS Risk Elimination

2. The limitations of Pump and Treat for PFAS

3. Designing PFAS remediation approaches using colloidal activated carbon

4. Costs of PFAS remediation on actual projects

5. The use of barrier technologies as vapor mitigation tools

6. Minimizing risk and long-term protection at VI sites

Upon completing this course, participants will immediately be able to confidently assess and select the right tools for their desired project outcomes. Capacity for this course is limited, and there is no virtual option, so be the first to secure your spot!

We will provide PDH attendance certificates for 4 hours of training following the workshop, along with copies of the presentations. CEUs will be provided for NY upon request and NJ LSRP CECs are pending approval by the SRPLB.
