About This Event

Join our Artist in Residence Sally Hirst on a neurodivergent friendly tour talking about a selection of artworks from the exhibition.

These neurodivergent friendly tours are suitable for everyone, neurodivergent or not.

Our Everyday Art School Artist in Residence Sally Hirst will use easy to understand language and easy reads to make it accessible.

The tours will be at a relaxed pace.

Sally Hirst will also provide a basic audio description of each artwork during the tour so it will be accessible to those with a visual Impairment too.

The Whitworth have ear defenders and ear plugs available if needed on request.

There are also sensory bags available to use.

Sally Hirst is a neurodivergent and disabled textile artist, ceramicist and poet based at Venture Arts. She also has a love of history and retelling stories of ordinary people from the past. She is passionate about accessibility, and this is important in her art practice.
