Third Beat: An Improv Jam @ Mom's Basement Theatre

Ready to put your long-form chops to the test? Third Beat is our high-energy Harold jam where we keep things fast, furious, and fun. Players will dive into a modified Harold structure—centered around three beats of scenes—but all at lightning speed. It’s a chance to practice connections, patterns, and callbacks in real time while building big ideas together. Think of it as Harold on espresso: quick, bold, and packed with surprises.

How This Jam Works

• Sign up when you arrive.
• Teams are drawn at random.
• Performers will run through a speed Harold, where each scene in each beat lasts only a minute each!
• A host keeps things moving, supports the vibe, and ensures every team gets their moment.

Perfect for improvisers who want to strengthen their long-form muscles, sharpen group mind, and leave it all on stage.
