This hands-on cutting class is designed to simplify shag cutting through intentional sectioning, structure, and understanding movement.

This class will be performed on live models, allowing you to work in real time while observing multiple hair types, textures, and densities throughout the room. Seeing the cut executed across different heads of hair deepens understanding in a way mannequins simply can’t replicate.

The instructor will be available every step of the way, offering individualized guidance, adjustments, and real-time feedback to ensure clarity and confidence.

You’ll learn:

• A clear, repeatable sectioning system
• How to create movement without compromising the perimeter
• How to adapt the shag for different textures
• Finishing techniques that enhance softness and volume
• How to troubleshoot and refine while working on live hair

This is a small group class limited to 8 stylists to ensure focused instruction and hands-on support.

You will leave with a structured system you can immediately apply behind the chair.
