If you are a local artist, a creative searching for your people, or someone who has been carrying quiet loneliness and wanting to feel warmth again, this night was made with you in mind. Come early. Come with a friend. Come alone if that is what courage looks like right now. Help create the kind of space you wish existed more often.

On March 14, Nyla House becomes something rare. A room where people who live here and create here can finally exhale together. A room built for connection that is felt, not performed. This is a donation based gathering created to keep creative space alive, accessible, and open for the people who need it most.

Hosted by Black Canvas in collaboration with The Art Meetup, the evening begins gently with music that settles the body, moves into a poetry showcase filled with powerful voices, and then opens into a community open mic where the room belongs to all of us. Whether you share your work, support someone you love, or simply listen and feel less alone, you are part of what gives the night meaning.

A Free Community Clothing Rack will be available throughout the evening. Take what you need. Offer what you can. This is mutual care, lived out in real time. Food and drinks will be available at the bar, but the true nourishment is presence. Being seen. Being together.

This is a donation based event. Your contribution helps pay artists, hold the space, and make sure gatherings like this remain possible in Brooklyn. Give what feels generous. Give what feels possible. Give because you want rooms like this to keep existing for all of us.
