During this event, Markus will lead you through a sound bath, creating a soothing blanket of sounds to restore your energy and help your body to relax and recover while Victor will be providing traditional Thai massage to support further homeostasis for all your body's systems.
Hearing and feeling the vibration of these unique singing bowls is proven to release Alpha-waves in the brain. Those waves are usually only produced during deep sleep and are known to activate the self-healing potential of your body.
Thai Massage with the tapestry of sounds created by the Singing Bowls encourages you to relax and allow those Alpha-waves to work their magic offering a different experience to your typical Sound Bath.

Markus was born and raised in Siegburg Germany. After going through a period of medical issues he finally found relief in alternative healing arts where western medicine was simply at a loss. Markus decided that he wanted to share his experience and started studying several forms of complementary and alternative medicine.

Since beginning his studies, Markus has become a Certified Klangschalen Therapist (Singing Bowl Therapist), Certified Aromatherapist, a Reiki Master Teacher, and earned his German license in Medical Massage Therapy. He is well trained in a variety of Eastern and Western healing techniques and loves to help guide others on their healing journeys. He firmly believes that bringing your body and mind into balance and combining alternative healing arts with Western Medicine is the key to a healthy and pleasant life.

Markus has just recently relocated to the US, bringing all his delightful and unique European and Eastern healing arts to San Diego. Together with his husband Gary, a local acupuncturist, he operates Smiling Buddha Bodywork, a healing space that combines the best modalities of the East and West to help you rebuild, restore, and relax.

Recently, he started working on collaborations to cooperate with other healers and organizations like The Metta Space.

About Victor:

He earned a Holistic Health Practitioner certificate and has been practicing as a licensed massage therapist in California since 2007. He specializes in Thai Massage & Acupressure for Orthopaedic Disorders, Sports Massage and Relaxation Massage. Victor is a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and is also initiated as a Litios Christ Light Priest. He enjoys working with athletes, yogis, healers and teachers to help them holistically achieve a balanced life of health, wellness and spirituality.
