Something fishy: lesser-known facts about our Scottish finned friends

Professor Colin Adams, Chair of Freshwater Ecology at the University of Glasgow, presents an engaging look at the secret lives of Scotland’s freshwater fish. Drawing on decades of field research, he reveals surprising behaviours, hidden migrations, and the ecological roles of species we often overlook. This talk sheds new light on how these finned residents shape our waters—and why they matter more than we think.

This event will take place at Hyndland Secondary School, Clarence Drive, Glasgow, G12 9RQ. Children over 8 years old are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. The venue has disabled access. No dogs please except assistance dogs.
