Simul Exhibition at The Flying Saucer

At The Flying Saucer,

Beat the Master and win a chess set.

Take home a notation sheet with analysis of your game from National Master Jesse James Lozano.

Please read the rules below carefully. These guidelines are in place to ensure the simul runs smoothly, fairly, and on schedule.

SIMUL FORMAT

• This is a simultaneous exhibition
• I will play White on every board
• All participants will play Black
• I will rotate from board to board in a fixed order
• Games are untimed unless otherwise stated
• All games begin from the standard starting position

MOVES & GAME FLOW

• You must have your move ready when I arrive at your board
• Each player is allowed one pass only during the entire game
• If I arrive at your board and no move is made, the game is immediately lost
• Once a pass is used, no additional passes are allowed

TOUCH-MOVE & FAIR PLAY

• Touch-move applies
• No outside assistance, engines, notes, or advice
• Phones, browsers, and smart devices may not be used during play
• Spectators may observe quietly but may not comment

END OF GAME FEATURES

• Games end by checkmate, resignation, draw, or forfeiture
• Once your game is finished, please record the result if requested
• Post-game questions and discussion are welcome after the simul concludes

SPORTSMANSHIP
This is a learning and community event. Respectful behavior is expected at all times. I reserve the right to end a game or remove a participant for unsportsmanlike conduct.
