About This Event
A conversation about what we can learn from Silicon Valley
What can we learn from Silicon Valley? In the second of three conversations historian David Larsson Heidenblad and tech analyst Björn Jeffery discuss the ideas that have shaped the tech companies of today. How does life in Silicon Valley work? What can you learn, and use, from these ideas in your daily business? And what can the fairly short but very influential history of the California ecosystem tell about the future of innovation and technology?
Silicon Valley in Practice
A conversation that tells the story of Toca Boca, placed in a historical context and focused on the lessons learned from not only reading about things but also actively taking part in shaping them. The historical knowledge process in real life (retrospectively). Lessons about design based on actual behavior (the passback effect); differentiation (not being Disney); distribution (the App Store). A living discussion of how these bodies of knowledge have been applied in practice.
The conversation is free to join, but bring your own (optional) lunch (we recommend take away from restaurant Varv, or a salad from Holy Greens).
Also, check out and register for session two and three in series.
