Saturday Wine Tasting Experience Manchester with Three Course Lunch

​Enjoy an indulgent afternoon tasting 10 great wines, a mixture of reds and whites, from around the world. These will accompany a 3 course gourmet lunch menu served in the spectacular surroundings of Malmaison Manchester.

All 10 wines are thoughtfully chosen to show a range of aromas and flavours. They will be readily available from local merchants and online.

Welcomed with a glass of fizz on arrival at 11.00am., you’ll have time to socialise with your fellow food and wine lovers.  Enjoy the ambience of our luxurious private dining room at the four star Malmaison, Picadilly Manchester. A truly decadent experience!

Learn to Taste Wine Like a Professional

​Then we take you through the secrets of becoming a professional wine taster, as you sip and swirl the first three carefully selected wines. We put your sense of smell to the test, using our highly popular Nez du Vin aroma vials for a light-hearted ice-breaker. Next,discover how your taste buds adapt to bitter, sweet, salty, spicy and acidic foods. Understand their impact on the characteristics of the wines.

Your Gourmet Three Course Lunch

​We try out your newly acquired food and wine matching skills, when you begin your superb 3 course lunch at 12.30pm. Your stunning menu is a contemporary collection of dishes showcasing the season's finest ingredients. Three glasses of specially matched wines will be served, one for the starter, main and dessert.  All will have been selected to complement the major flavour components of each dish. There may be some exciting surprise wildcards. See if you discover a new favourite!

To Round off the Afternoon

We'll conclude the day with a tasting of three more fantastic wines, one of which will be a special fortified/dessert wine. Finish at 4.00pm. Sad we know.  But you'll have a useful booklet of tasting notes and a  WSET pocket wine and food tasting guide to take home as a memento. An experience ​which will make a ​lasting memory, talked about for a long time!
