Saturday Night Rockers ft. NKRUMAH WITH & DUB CHRONICLES ft. RAS YUNCHIE

A veteran of the local Toronto scene, NKRUMAH has been gracing the mic at dances and concerts around the city for more than 3 decades now. His sweet voice and smooth delivery lead him to stages opening for the likes of Gregory Isaacs, Sister Nancy & Junior Reed. He was an integral part of the Dub Connection Sound System with whom he tore up many a dancehall in the 2010s. And in recent years has released a handful of widely sought-after vinyl singles. 45s like ‘Congo’, ‘Rough & Rugged’, ‘Oh Jah’, and ‘The Righteous Ah Come’ have become coveted collector items for sound crews all over the world, and lead to his first European tour this past summer.

For this performance, we’re offering you the rare opportunity to see NKRUMAH perform a full set of original music backed up by a live band. And not just any band … the mighty DUB CHRONICLES!!! The perfect pairing for a dubbed-out session of super-heavy bass lines, sweet melodies and live mixing by the great PROTOURMAN (aka Sean Richards).

It should also be mentioned that there will be a special guest appearance by the legendary RAS YUNCHIE, who has a fresh new album out with Toronto’s own N1_Sound called ‘Inna DJ Style’.

Doors open an 8pm … and the performance will start promptly at 9pm.

THIS IS AN EARLY SHOW !!! It will be followed by a late-night DJ party that all in attendance are welcome to stick around for.NOT TO BE MISSED!!!
