PROSA & CyberSkills Hacking Evening + SagaLabs on "Operation Hidden Spice"

The Hacking Evening takes place at Aalborg University Campus Copenhagen, Frederikskaj 12 Room 0.06, starting at 17:00. (Entrance next to the water)

This special event will feature special guest, SagaLabs, and they will host their "Operation Hidden Spice":

SagaLabs provides scenario based cybersecurity training inspired by military methods. We create hands on exercises for companies, organizations, and educational institutions that take participants through realistic cyber scenarios. Our approach teaches the practical skills needed to respond to real cyber incidents. With a military background, we use a “Train as You Fight” philosophy to make the training realistic and effective.

Operation Hidden Spice is a hands-on insider threat scenario.

In this scenario, participants investigate a fictional potato chips company where an employee is suspected of leaking secret recipes. The goal is to find out if the employee, Else, has shared confidential information and to understand how insider threat investigations work.

Working in teams, participants will explore digital evidence, including system logs and other artefacts, to identify suspicious activity. They build a timeline of events and use this to determine when, and if, a data leak has occurred.

During the investigation, participants will:

• Use Velociraptor for threat hunting and real-time analysis
• Use Elastic SIEM to monitor and respond to security events
• Map attacker behavior with MITRE ATT&CK
• Create a debrief of the incident
