According to the Bureau of Statistics, black families experience poverty twice as often as other families. Also, unemployment among blacks is at an all-time high and exceeds white unemployment by 10%.

Last year, along with 300,000 black women, they were laid off or furloughed. This leaves an increased wealth, employment, and wellness gap in our households.

This session is a Panel discussion for women who are heads of households - focusing on avoiding scams and addressing myths, ways to market our skills, and which industries are in demand, as well as ways to tighten the purse strings through creative spending and new revenue streams. Panelists will include: a banker, a financial advisor, and HR Experts.
