Patchwork and Quilting Evening Taster Workshop

Join us for an Introduction to Patchwork Paper Piecing and Hand Quilting with Elnaz as part of our new Thursday Taster evenings!

This workshop will guide you through the basics of patchwork by hand, encouraging you to recycle and use a mix of materials and shapes to create your design. You will also learn an introduction to quilting by hand, learning hand stitches and techniques to produce a sample quilt.

You will get to take away and finish what you complete in the session working towards a finished piece in your own time. The session will guide you through the techniques and steps slowly, suitable for complete beginners.

All materials are included as well as Hot drinks and biscuits.

To make our Thursday taster evenings as accessable as possible, we have made the tickets as low cost as we can without affecting the quaility of the workshop. If you would really like to attend this workshop but feel you cannot afford the ticket price please contact jen@stitch-up.org.uk as we sometimes have hardship bursary places available.

Stitch-Up CIC is a social enterprise supporting people of all ages to learn new skills, improve wellbeing and connect with others through craft & creativity.

Our studio is situated in Meanwood Community Centre. There is ample parking available at the Community Centre Car Park. If you cannot fit in the Car Park, please park on the main part of Stainbeck Avenue, with consideration to the residents please do not park in the cul-de-sac.
