Singing Jazz Workshop & Fête de la Musique Concert

The Paris Jazz Experience is a boutique, in-person jazz singing workshop for singers who want to deepen their relationship with jazz while fully immersing themselves in Paris’s vibrant music culture.

Over five days, participants take part in daily group vocal sessions, live band rehearsals, and curated jazz experiences around the city, culminating in a public concert for Fête de la Musique, where participants perform with a professional jazz band.

This experience is intentionally limited to a small group of singers to ensure individual attention, meaningful artistic work, and a supportive ensemble atmosphere.

What You’ll Work On

Throughout the week, we’ll focus on:

• Jazz vocal technique
  Breath, tone, articulation, swing feel, and vocal freedom
• Jazz interpretation
  Phrasing, lyrics, emotional clarity, and stylistic choices
• Improvisation
  Scat basics, melodic variation, confidence within form
• Personal storytelling
  Connecting lyrics to your own voice and artistic identity
• Performance preparation
  Rehearsing with a live band, stage presence, and concert mindset

This workshop is suitable for singers with some prior singing experience who want to explore jazz more deeply. You do not need to be a professional, but you should feel comfortable singing in front of others.

Saturday, 20 June

10:00–13:00 Group singing session
17:00–19:00 Rehearsal with the band
21:00 Swing dancing at Le Caveau de la Huchette

Sunday, 21 June – Fête de la Musique

Morning rest
17:00–19:00 Concert preparation & warm-up
20:00 Public concert (1–1.5h)
Participants perform with the band
Followed by celebration and live music across Paris

About the Teacher

Maja Savić is a jazz singer, vocal coach, and educator based in Paris. She works with singers from diverse backgrounds, helping them develop solid vocal technique, confidence in jazz interpretation, and a strong personal connection to the music.

Her teaching approach blends technical clarity with musical storytelling, focusing on phrasing, rhythm, improvisation, and expressive freedom. Throughout the Paris Jazz Experience, Maja leads all group sessions, rehearsals, and concert preparation, and performs alongside participants during the final concert.

Tickets Options

Tier 1 — Singer Pass
Includes all morning jazz singing workshops, rehearsals with the band, and performance during Fête de la Musique.
From €850.

Tier 2 — Full Paris Jazz Experience
Includes everything in the Singer Pass, plus curated jazz experiences in Paris: jam sessions with local musicians, swing dancing in iconic jazz clubs, and a guided jazz walk through historic neighborhoods.
From €1,050.

Tier 3 — Artist Immersion
The most complete experience, including the full Paris Jazz Experience plus one or two private 60-minute vocal coaching sessions during the week.
From €1,250.
