Parent Counselling Class

The first months of a baby’s life are a crucial period for emotional and neurological development. A secure and loving attachment between caregiver and infant lays the foundation for a child’s confidence, emotional resilience, and lifelong well-being. This class introduces the science behind bonding and provides practical approaches to help parents nurture meaningful and secure connections with their baby.

Whether you are preparing for your first child or welcoming another addition to your family, this session offers supportive guidance to help you understand your baby’s cues, respond with calmness, and embrace early parenthood with confidence.

What You Will Learn
• Why emotional regulation and attunement are essential in early infancy
• How secure attachment influences healthy physical, emotional, and social development
• The role of both mothers and fathers in building strong bonding relationships

Instructor
The class is led by a HKPCA-accredited counsellor (Membership No. M3429), with a Master’s degree in Counselling from The University of Hong Kong, and currently pursuing a PhD in Infancy and Childhood Development. The instructor works closely with parents and young children, supporting families in creating secure, healthy, and joyful relationships in the early years.
