About This Event
Tier 2 Mandatory Training: Learning Disabilities & Autism (In-Person)

About the Training
This mandatory Tier 2 training is for health and social care staff who support, or may support, people with learning disabilities and/or autistic people. It meets CQC expectations and statutory workforce requirements.
Learning Aims
By the end of the session, participants will:
• Understand core principles of learning disability and autism
• Recognise how attitudes, environments and communication impact people
• Apply reasonable adjustments to improve outcomes
• Respond appropriately to distress, behaviour and sensory needs
• Provide person‑centred, rights‑based support
• Reflect on their role and responsibilities
Who Should Attend?
• Staff providing direct, face‑to‑face support
• Those who have completed Tier 1 e‑learning
• Support workers, seniors, coordinators, managers, RM, LD/Autism Champions
• Anyone requiring mandatory Tier 2 training
Cost & Booking Requirements
• £60 per person – reclaimable via the Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS)
• Book using the attendee’s full name – this must match the certificate
• A confirmation email including your receipt will be sent after booking; keep this for LDSS claims
• Bookings are non‑refundable but transferable to another person on the same date
Important information about LDSS
• Funding for Oliver’s Training comes from a separate, ring‑fenced LDSS pot. The overall funding pot is limited, and claims are processed on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Once the fund is exhausted, no further claims will be reimbursed. All claims for Oliver’s Training must be submitted by 23:59 on 20 March 2026.
• We are currently awaiting updates from DHSC regarding the 2026/27 LDSS funding year. As it stands, the 2025/26 pot is limited, and once exhausted, further reimbursement will not be possible.
Priority & Booking Limits
• CQC‑regulated providers are prioritised
• Maximum of 5 places per establishment initially
• Additional places may be offered if capacity allows
Session Details
• Duration: Full day, 09:30–16:30
• Full attendance is required for certification
• Certificates will be issued after completion of the full session

Czajka Care Training Centre, 3–5 Moorhead Road, Saltaire, Shipley BD18 4JH
• Arrive 15 minutes early for registration
• Late arrival may affect certification
• Bring: notebook/pen and pre‑sent materials if you’re able to do so
Parking, Travel & Refreshments
• Limited parking; free on‑street parking available nearby
• Public transport available via Saltaire train/bus services
• Light refreshments provided; bring lunch or visit local shops/cafés

• Certificates cannot be issued for partial attendance
• Keep your booking confirmation email/receipt for LDSS reimbursement
