Oceanic: A Deep Sea Dance Party

Next month, we’re venturing into the depths of the ocean with a genre-defying night of all around aquatic tunes. Ambient? Dubstep? Synthpop? Gay Pop Music? Gay COUNTRY Music? With our unbelievably stacked lineup of DJs, anything is on the table, and you won’t want to miss it!!

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Birkley Heynen Environmental Foundation. Birkley was one of my close friends from high school, and we kept in contact after I moved to Toronto. He passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2024 just ten days before his 21st birthday and two months shy of graduating from the University of Georgia’s Odum School of Ecology with a Sustainability Certificate. Inspired by his  legacy, the BHEF (@birkleyheynenEF) brings people together to raise awareness and resources to build a more resilient, sustainable, and just Georgia Coast.

Birkley was the life of every room he walked into. He cared deeply about people and the environment, and he did all he could in life to help both. I think there is no greater way we could honor him than to raise money for the earth and environment he cared about while dancing the night away.
