Newbie Tuesday - January 27, 2026

About This Event

Kyra Carleton’s Newbie Tuesday at the Comedy Nest weaponizes the tension between seasoned comedians and ambitious amateurs, forcing pros to test raw, unfinished material alongside civilians who risk their day jobs for five minutes at the mic. The event’s draw is the high-wire unpredictability of watching polished talent fumble alongside rank newcomers, creating a rare democratic space where a software engineer’s first punchline can outshine a veteran’s discarded bit. This specific January 27th edition, part of the Just For Laughs Discovery Series, offers a live laboratory where the city’s comedy hierarchy momentarily collapses into shared vulnerability.
