About This Event

On February 3, 2026, Montreal’s Comedy Nest hosts a rare Newbie Tuesday featuring host Alasdair Birchall, fresh from roasting John Cleese, as he presides over a lineup blurring the line between seasoned stand-ups and civilians testing untested material. The event’s unique tension comes from the high-stakes alchemy of a roaster of comedy royalty sharing a stage with office workers, all gambling on half-baked punchlines in real time.

From The Roast of John Cleese, Alasdair Birchall hosts Newbie Tuesday where pros and people with day jobs unleash their best new jokes!
