Vocal Odyssey is a deep yet playful self-inquiry journey of discovery into the mystery and healing forces of our most intimate musical instrument – our voice.

The process aims to pierce through the voices in our heads and to open a door for a new relationship between us and the transformative quality of our vocal expression. To bring us a bit closer to our beautiful, raw, wild and imperfect human flow.

The voice is our bridge to something bigger than ourselves; it is our connection to the prayer we carry. In this group we will reconnect to the simple and natural way of expressing our authentic voice beyond judgments, painful beliefs and limiting conditionings.

Nessi Gomes is a songwriter shaped by edges, cultural, emotional, the places inside us that don't clean up easily. Born to Madeiran parents in Guernsey, she grew up between languages, between islands, between identities. Her music carries Portuguese saudade ~ that exquisite longing for beauty just beyond reach.​

Nessi creates music that walks you into the fullness of being human, the longing, the beauty, the ache, the joy. All of it welcome. Trained in Creative Expressive Therapies and certified as a Holistic Voice Practitioner, she's guided thousands through her Vocal Odyssey retreats.​

Her debut album Diamonds & Demons is "hauntingly atmospheric with lushly textured nods to Björk & Kate Bush" - The Guardian. Currently writing her second album, she's leaning even deeper into the raw, honest beauty of the human experience.​

She's shared stages and recordings with Sam Lee, Estas Tonne, Peia, Ayla Nereo, Danit, Ajeet and more. Her work has been featured in the award-winning film Listen (Oscar-nominated) and the Fantastic Fungi soundtrack.​

Most of her listeners describe her music as a healing experience, transporting the transformative power of voice. Nessi's music lifts the spirit of its audience, her authentic performance creates an atmosphere of inner peace 🌿 🙏 💚​
