About the Instructor:

Dara Ackerman is a singer, songwriter, bandleader, backing vocalist and vocal coach. She teaches voice privately, and at Songbird Studios, at all three locations.

She has been a performer in the worlds of music, dance and theater from a young age, and has written musical theater, recorded a handful of eclectic indie solo albums, and one of her songs is featured in an independent film that is currently showing in festivals around the US and Canada.

During her recent years of teaching voice, she has fallen in love with the art of Karaoke…what a beautifully way for singing, performance and creative expression to be accessible to all!

Dara is thrilled for the chance to debut her new workshop, Karaoke Royalty, at Sunset Commons, we’re participants will learn to navigate the nuance and power of their own unique voice. She so looks forward to working with you!
