Matt Wright is an accomplished comedian who's received 2 Juno Award nominations for "Comedy Album of the Year".

Known for his sharp & clean observational humour -- Matt was hand-picked to open for Jerry Seinfeld at the inaugural Great Outdoors Comedy Festival (2023).

Matt's comedy writing talent has also earned him many TV and film accolades.

Matt has written for 6 seasons of the Canadian satirical sketch comedy series This Hour Has 22 Minutes -- where he was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award (for "Best Comedy Writing").

Matt's debut short comedic film "Wife and Death" was an official selection at multiple film festivals. It also won him the "Best Emerging Filmmaker" award at the 2016 Nickel Film Festival.

His follow-up film "Snowstorm Roulette" was chosen to compete in the CBC Short Film Faceoff, and was nominated for "Best International Comedy Short" at the Austin Comedy Short Film Festival.
