Lester McLean is a native of Toronto and has been active professionally since the early 90’s. Known mainly as a saxophonist who sang a little bit in his first few years, the instrumental funk-fusion band The Colour of Soul was the first outlet for McLean’s songwriting

By 2003 he was singing and fronting The Lester McLean Trio and the group released a CD entitled “Best Foot Forward” in 2005. The disc features a collection of covers and originals, 5 of which were penned by Lester.

Fast forwarding to 2011 he released “Lester McLean – LM: 4, 3,2,1” which features 12 originals all penned by McLean and 3 covers. LM: 4,3,2,1 demonstrates Lester’s versatility with a wide array of musical styles and the soulful, eclectic sound that defines his listening tastes and talents.

For more than 25 years Lester has carried out his tradition of writing and releasing original Christmas music. “A Mostly A Capella Christmas” a compilation of Lester’s holiday songs was released in 2014. Lester released “A Mostly A Capella Christmas Vol 2” in December 2024.

There are plan to release several singles starting in March 2026.

Throughout his career, Lester has performed with a wide array of Canadian and International artists including, Maestro, jacksoul, Colin James, Divine Brown, and Jim Cuddy.

No need to bring a physical copy of the ticket for entry. Please bring your eventbrite ticket on your phone or provide the name the tickets were purchased under for check-in.

General Admisson seating is on a first come basis.

Presale tickets are available until 2PM the day of the show. Unsold tickets will be able to purchased at the door while supplies last.

Refunds are available, you can do so by requesting a refund via eventbrite or emailing events@thepilot.ca.
