About This Event
Celebrate International Women's Day with 'Have you frozen your eggs yet?' podcast hosts, Louise and Kelly.
It's International Women's Day: Let’s Talk About It.
This International Women’s Day, nothing is off the table.
Join Louise Mason and Kelly Crichton, hosts of the brand new podcast 'Have You Frozen Your Eggs Yet?', for an honest, funny, and unfiltered hosted conversation about being a woman, the annoying questions we are asked, the expectations we’re handed, and how on earth we’re supposed to survive it all.
'Have You Frozen Your Eggs Yet?' is a podcast about womanhood in all its messy, brilliant reality - it was featured as 'the best podcast of the week in the Sunday Times Culture magazine in its first week. Louise is single and in her 30s and Kelly married, a mum of two, and in her 40s. Together, they bring insight, humour, and lived experience to conversations about our bodies, love lives, fertility, families, friendships, careers, pop culture and everything else that comes with being a woman.
"Have you frozen your eggs yet?" asked the stranger
"Would you like to see my tan lines?" texted another woman!
"Why do I hate my body?" said my brain
"Is having a boyfriend embarrassing now?" asked Vogue
"If it has to happen baby do you want to know?" asked David Harbour to Lily Allen
Join us as we open up the conversation and dedicate the night to the things we don’t talk about
What To Expect
When you arrive, you’ll be invited to anonymously add something to our Rumination Box. Nothing is off the table. This can be anything: an awkward question you’ve been asked, an inappropriate comment, a thought on surviving womanhood. What are those thoughts in your head you are scared to say outloud?
"So what does your husband do?" said the builder
"Why are you single?" asked the family friend
"You'll never be a mother" said the well meaning friend
"You're pregnant... was it an accident?" said the colleague
"Can being an auntie be enough?" asked Louise
"Would you like me to iron his shirts for you?" said 'the father in law'
Louise and Kelly will pull from the box throughout the evening to spark conversation, invite reflections, and open the floor to you, our audience.
We’ll close the evening with an inclusive poetry session exploring the mind, the body, and the many shapes of womanhood. Whether you’re a practiced poet, just beginning, or simply feeling called to try, we invite you to submit your work.
Submission deadline is 13th February & shortlisted poets are notified by 27th February at the latest. Click here for more.
Expect a fun, relaxed, and welcoming atmosphere. Bring your own snacks and drinks, come as you are, and be ready to listen, share, laugh, and connect.
We don’t want cost to be a barrier to participation. If pricing is an issue, please email more@tribeporty.org and we’ll provide a ticket at no cost.
