In-Person Class: Make Your Own Dumplings (Denver)

In this hands-on and interactive class, you will be guided step-by-step through making delectable dumplings. Our session kicks off with how to craft the perfect dough, followed by filling preparation.

There are two different fillings demonstrated during the class: Chicken, Cabbage, Scallion dumplings and Veggie (vegan friendly option). The culinary adventure continues as you master the fundamentals of dumpling folding, exploring various shapes such as triangular, crescent, and rose bud using high quality dumpling wrappers. Elevate your cooking expertise with insider tips on steaming and pan-frying techniques, and learn the secrets to achieving perfectly crispy bottoms! We'll share our favorite resources in Denver for sourcing ingredients and basic equipment for dumpling making at home.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing). You will work with other students in groups of 2-4 sharing ingredients and equipment.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.

Guest requirement

The nature of our classes is set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 21+. Outside drinks are not permitted. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, however guests may purchase beverages on-site from Novel Strand.
