Herbal Remedies: Roots of Healing Interactive Workshop

This is not a lecture—it’s a collaborative, hands-on learning experience.

Join herbalist Mandy Gough, owner of XOM3 Solutions and director of Roots of Healing, for an interactive herbal remedies workshop designed to help you confidently and safely explore plant medicine for yourself and your community.

Participants will take part in a guided, game-style learning experience where you’ll:

• Taste and experience an herbal infusion or decoction
• Learn what a plant monograph is and why it matters
• Work together to build a plant monograph using real herbal data
• Practice evaluating plants for safe, informed personal use
• Leave with tools to continue learning beyond the workshop

Rather than memorizing recipes, this workshop focuses on how to find, assess, and understand herbal information—empowering you to make thoughtful choices for yourself, friends, and family.

Participants will need a mobile phone with internet access, plus pen and paper. Herbal books are welcome but not required. Collective notes will be shared digitally so learning continues after the workshop.

This workshop is rooted in community knowledge-building, accessibility, and care, and is welcoming to beginners and curious herbalists alike.

Acompaña a la herbolaria Mandy Gough, directora de XOM3 Solutions y Roots of Healing, en un taller interactivo diseñado para ayudarte a explorar la medicina herbal de forma segura, informada y comunitaria.

Las y los participantes participarán en una experiencia tipo juego donde podrán:

• Probar una infusión o decocción herbal
• Aprender qué es una monografía de planta y por qué es importante
• Colaborar para crear una monografía usando información herbal real
• Practicar cómo evaluar plantas para su uso personal seguro
• Llevarse herramientas para seguir aprendiendo después del taller

En lugar de memorizar recetas, este taller se enfoca en cómo investigar, evaluar y comprender las plantas medicinales, empoderando a cada persona a tomar decisiones informadas para sí misma y su comunidad.

Se recomienda traer teléfono móvil con acceso a internet, además de pluma y papel. Libros de herbolaria son bienvenidos pero no necesarios. Las notas colectivas se compartirán digitalmente.

Este taller está enfocado en el aprendizaje comunitario, la accesibilidad y el cuidado, y es ideal tanto para principiantes como para personas con curiosidad por la herbolaria.
